Holiday Performances
The NewRoads Performing Arts Centre, at 505 Pickering Cres., has a variety of holiday performances happening throughout the holiday season. November 18, 2022
Candlelight Parade and Tree Lighting
Kick off the season by taking part in the Candlelight Parade and Tree-lighting. If you’ve never been, this is a lovely event with battery-powered candles passed around to the first 300 guests and complimentary hot chocolate drink tickets (one voucher per person) . Music by the Newmarket Citizens Band. Meet at Main and Water at 6:30 pm. Parade begins at 7.

November 19
Christmas Parade
Santa Claus and his elves come to town for the annual parade on Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Grab a spot along Eagle and Main streets to catch all the fun.

Gallery of Festive Heritage Trees, Nov. 19-Dec. 20, 2022
The Elman W. Campbell Museum at 134 Main St. S. hosts its Gallery of Festive Heritage Trees on Tuesdays through Saturdays from Nov. 19 to Dec. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m.
November 26
Christmas Market
Newmarket Farmers’ Market is hosting its annual Christmas Market Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Newmarket Community Centre and Lions Hall on Doug Duncan Drive at Riverwalk Commons.
Christmas Bazaar
Amica Newmarket’s Christmas Bazaar will feature more than 30 artisan and direct sales vendors, with money raised supporting the Helping Hands Charity, assisting seniors in need. The event runs Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 275 Doak Lane.

Tapestry Chamber Choir
The Tapestry Chamber Choir’s Sing We Now of Christmas takes place Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Order tickets in advance at ticketscene.ca/42661.
