Neon Flamingo: Retro Cool

Ever wish you could go back in time to the feel-good era of record players, rotary phones, and pop icons like Audrey Hepburn, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra?

Experience the vibe of the good old days at Neon Flamingo, Newmarket’s goldmine for all things nostalgic. If you’re up for the hunt to find a one-of-a-kind decor piece or simply want a vintage fix– you won’t be disappointed. The store is chockful of enough funky goodness to satisfy every generation and decor style.

Prepare for time to fly by as you discover a mix of old and new treasures—think Art Deco and Art Nouveau pieces, art, fun retro accessories, and vintage collectible cameras (yes, a vintage camera *is* the missing decor piece you never knew you needed.) If you’re shopping for a cute gift or just want to spend an hour silently laughing to yourself over hilarious cheeky magnets about the joys of happy hour at 3 pm, this is the place for you.

If vinyl is your jam, we won’t blame you for heading straight to the collection of records at the back. The store “sells fresh copies of some of the old rock classics right through to the new hip hop issues preferred by the younger crowd,” says store owner, Ted Heald.

90% of the vinyl carried in the store are new records, many of which are rare limited-edition, coloured vinyl. Shop limited editions like the four vinyl versions of Taylor Swift’s 10th studio album “Midnights,” Harry Styles’ “Harry’s House” translucent yellow album, Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind,’ and more. You can even find copies of the Glass Tiger album, Newmarket’s famous rock band!
