You won’t have to look too hard (or travel too far) for something fun to do this Canada Day weekend! The Tim Hortons Canada Day Concert & Festival is back for another year, bringing festivities and fun to the downtown Newmarket area.

Running from 11 am-4 pm on Saturday July 1, 2023, both Riverwalk Commons and Main St. will be filled with an array of family-friendly activities, including live music performances, face painting, games, busker entertainment and more. This huge street party is a day you don’t want to miss.

Shop along Main St. at the many shops and vendors that will be there. When you get hungry, you’ll find an array of food vendors serving up delicious food, including North Newmarket Lions Club which also has a licensed area. Or you can always park yourself on a patio and soak in the sights and sounds of a Newmarket summer day.

Parking will be in short supply, so save yourself the headache and use the handy (and free!) shuttle buses provided by telMAX. You can grab the shuttle from both Ray Twinney Recreation Complex and Magna Centre.

The fun continues into the night with a Concert & Fireworks event happening at George Richardson Park (Bayview Parkway). Music starts at 7:30 pm and includes a performance from the Newmarket Citizens’ Band, the oldest continuously running community band in Canada! At around 10:10 pm enjoy the night sky lit up with stunning fireworks.
