Love finding hidden gems at a fraction of retail prices? Us too! Here are three of our favourite thrift shops in Newmarket.
Delivering Hope Boutique
If you are looking for great steals and deals while supporting a tremendous cause, look no further than Delivering Hope Boutique. You can find amazing bargains at the thrift store and 100 per cent of the proceeds support Abuse Hurts, a charitable organization helping women and children escaping abuse. It receives no government funding, operating instead solely on private donations.
Delivering Hope Boutique is a hidden gem where you can find stylish new and previously loved women’s clothing, footwear and purses for $10 each.
Children’s clothing is $5 each.
The store also sells unique household items at greatly reduced prices.
The shop is only open a few days a week so check their website for days and times before you go. You’ll find them at 120 Harry Walker Pkwy. N. For more information, visit facebook.com/search/top?q=delivering%20hope%20boutique
Still in Style Resale Boutique
Still in Style is an upscale ladies’ consignment store offering modern, new and gently used women’s clothing. At any given time, you’ll find more than 200,000 items, from clothing, shoes and boots and coats to purses, belts and costume jewelry.
Items are usually priced at a third of ticket prices you’d find in stores.
“We have everything from blue jeans to formal wear,” Cathy Humpage, who co-owns the store with Kim Ostryhon, said. Gently used clothing is no more than two or three years old.
Still in Style also gets new last season items from stores needing to clear out their stock for new merchandise.
Still in Style is at 203 Main St. S. For more information, visit stillinstyle.ca
